28 DAYS NGA QUARANTINE PAID LEAVE SA MGA EMPLEYADO GINADUSO NI SENADOR LAPID

Nagsumiter sang isa ka proposed bill si Senador Manuel “Lito” Lapid nga magahatag sang 28 ka adlaw nga quarantine paid leave sa tanan nga empleyado sa pampubliko kag pribado nga sector.


Ginpahayag ni Lapid nga makabulig ang bill batok sa negatibo nga epekto sang pandemya.


Base sa Senate Bill No. 2404, ginsiling ni Lapid nga mandato sang bill nga mahatagan sang 28 dias nga paid quarantine leave benefits kada tuig nga katumbas sang adlawan nga sweldo sa apektado nga empleyado sa tanan nga sector.

“The grant of paid quarantine leave is applicable to any person who, while performing tasks as required for his/her employment whether in the public or private sector, and regardless of employment status, shall be exposed to or be infected with a highly contagious diseases or dangerous chemical which would require quarantine for a certain period of time,” suno kay Lapid.


Naka-asayn angot sa bill ang Social Security System (SSS) kag Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), kung applicable nga bayaran ang employer sa sweldo sang empleyado nga naka-quarantine leave.


“Provided, that the employer shall shoulder the payment of such quarantine leaves in cases where the exposure of an employee to such highly contagious diseases or dangerous chemicals was a result of negligence on the part of the employer,” base sa bill.


Suno kay Lapid, kung indi magpasugot ang employer nga maghatag sang paid quarantine leave benefit, pagamulatahan ini sang indi magnubo sa P30,000 pero indi maglapaw sa P200,000.


Pagamultahan naman ang managing head, director, ukon partners kung ang naglapas ang isa ka asosasyon, partnership, korporasyon ukon iban pa nga institusyon.
