Natukod ang sports academy sa New Clark City sa Capas, Tarlac upod sa Republic Act No. 11470 nga ginpermahan sang Hunyo 9, 2020.

Nasentro ang NAS sa sports science, support services kag academics kag kaangot sang NAS ang Department of Education nga ginapadalagan sang Philippine Sports Commission.
May yara basketball, volleyball gym, weightlifting room, athletic stadium kag aquatic center ang nasambit nga academy.
