Pinoy domestic workers nalakip sa magabenepisyo sa wage hike sang Hong Kong

Nagdangat na sa HK$4,730 ukon kapin P35,000 ang sweldo kada bulan sang Filipino domestic workers sa pungsod Hong Kong, suno kay Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Ople.

Gin-anunsyar ini ni Ople kasunod sang pagpatuman sang Hong Kong nga dugangan ang sweldo sang foreign domestic workers sa nasambit nga pungsod sa katumbas nga balor sang P750.

Sadtong bulan sang Setyembre, gin-anunsyar sang Hong Kong government nga ila pasakaan ang minimum allowable wage kag food allowance sang mga foreign domestic worker.

Suno sa Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), ginsugudan na sadtong Oktubre 1 ang pag-implementar sang wage hike sa Hong Kong.

“The increase in pay comes after a two-year wage freeze in HK due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time of rising prices due to a stronger US dollar, this new minimum wage hike is a boon to our kasambahays in HK,” suno kay Ople.
