Ginkumpirmar sang Oxford University sini nga Miyerkules, nga ang presidential aspirant nga si Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang wala nakabaton sang “full graduate diploma” masobra 40 katuig ang nagligad.
“We can confirm that a Ferdinand Marcos matriculated at the University of Oxford in 1975 to read for a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. According to our records, he did not complete his degree, but was awarded a Special Diploma in Social Studies in 1978,” suno sa email sang Oxford sa GMA News Online.
Ang nasambit nga ispesyal nga diploma, nga wala na gina-offer sa karon sang unibersidad, ang bukas para sa mga undergraduates kag graduates.
“Non-University members could also read for it under certain circumstances. There is no recorded link between the BA and the Special Diploma, and the Special Diploma was not a full graduate Diploma,” suno sa Oxford.
Nagapanindugan naman ang kampo ni Marcos nga ang anay senador ang nakakuha sang degree halin sa Oxford, nga amo ang isa sa pinaka-prestihiyuso nga unibersidad sa kalibutan.
“We stand by the degree confirmation which was issued by the University of Oxford. It is up to anyone to question or challenge this with the said university if they so please,” suno kay Vic Rodriguez, spokesperson ni Marcos.
Ang Oxford Philippines Society ang una na nga nagpagwa sang pahayag nga si Marcos ang wala sang degree halin sa unibersidad.*
