Matapos nagpaguwa sang pahibalo ang Silay City government angot sa bayolasyon nga gin-isyu sa mga tag-iya kag operators sadtong Marso 10.
Tatlo ka Barangay ang gina-konsiderar mayor nga tourist destination sa Silay bangod sang manami nga lalantawon.
Ang lugar ang nakahamtang man sa protected North Negros Natural Park (NNNP).
Palayag ni Silay Mayor Golez:
“The owners/operators of the establishments has never paid for any permits and taxes to the local government of Silay and the National government since they started their operations.” “Some of the resorts that have been drawing several local and foreign tourists started in 2004 while others from 2016 to 2018.”
Dugang nga palayag ni Mayor Golez:
“The owners constructed the structures “without any building permits, occupancy permits, discharge permits, business permits. They also don’t pay any taxes to the national government so they cannot issue an official receipt for their respective customers.” “They are tourist attractions but they have violations and if we tolerate them this will set a bad precedent to other business.”
