Russia, handa na magsuplay sa Pilipinas sang ‘effective,’ ‘safe’ nga bakuna batok sa COVID-19!

MANILA (UPDATE)—Handa na ang Russia magsuplay sa Pilipinas sang pinakauna nga bakuna sa bilog nga kalibutan batok sa COVID-19.

Sa virtual press briefing, ginsiling ni Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Igor Khovaev, nga magapatigayon sila sang clinical trials kag posible ang lokal nga produksyon sang bakuna ang ipasa sa mga lokal nga otoridad.

Palayag ni Khovaev:

“We have 3 options for cooperation. First, clinical trials, if our Philippine partner considers it necessary. The second option [is] we are ready to supply vaccine to the Philippines. And third, the most promoted option, is local production of vaccine here on the Philippine soil.”

“It means we are ready to combine our efforts, we are ready to make the investments together with our Philippines partners and we are ready to share our technologies, simply because we want to build a robust partnership between our 2 nations.”

Dugang pa ni Khovaev, nga ginalauman nga ma-aprobahan na sa Russia ang bakuna sa tunga-tunga sang Agosto antes ang launching production.

Samtang, libre naman sa bakuna ang mga pumuluyo sang Russian.

Nagpadala naman sang mensahe si Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. sa Russian nga may pagpasalamat sa gin-offer kag sa maayo nga friendship.

Sa isa ka statement, gin abi-abi sang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang luyag sang Russia nga magbulig sa Pilipinas sa pakigbato sa virus.

Statement sang Agency:

“The DFA conveys its appreciation for Russia’s willingness to assist the Philippines in its fight against COVID-19, as well as its offer to supply the SARS-COV-2 vaccine developed by N.F. Gamaleya of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.”
